The ACM proudly held our 22nd annual Aerospace Alley® Future Workforce Opportunities Fair and Tradeshow at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford on Thursday, October 31st. 100 ACM member companies along with sponsors, guests and partners made up the 120 displayers that joined us for the day. The morning fair was buzzing with 1,300 students from 60 different schools across Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Students and teachers were able to learn first-hand about aerospace manufacturing companies in our region and the abundance of career opportunities that they offer. Members and guests heard inspiring messages during the luncheon from ACM’s President and President of Jarvis Airfoil, Jason Jarvis, State of Connecticut’s Chief Manufacturing Officer, Paul Lavoie, UConn’s College of Engineering Communications Professor, Dr. Rory McGloin and Airbus’s Head of Procurement, Flying Parts, Joe Marcheschi. The afternoon drew several hundred trade visitors who had the opportunity to network and foster business relationships with ACM members and our guest displayers. It was certainly an exciting day in Aerospace Alley® and we are grateful for everyone that participated!
